I have great pleasure in introducing you to my Associate Team at SNCL.

Andrew Norris

Andrew’s specific expertise is in people and communication. His early training as an actor equipped him with the knowledge, skills, psychological curiosity and insight to work as a trainer and coach with managers and leaders on both a cerebral and emotional level. Among a plethora of delivery styles, Andrew specifically uses behavioural psychological theory with ‘live’ skills practice and feedback to enable learners to understand the subtleties of their own and others’ communication styles. He has been working as a consultant for 20 years in a wide range of organisations and he is particularly proud of his work with NFUM where he worked as part of a facilitation team winning the Gold Brandon Hall Group Excellence award for learning and development.

Andrew is degree educated and holds the following qualifications: Transactional Analysis (TA101), CPD Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring, ITS Certified Coach, MBTI, DiSC and Hogan Suite psychometric facilitator and coach. 

Sophie and Andrew have worked together on a number of projects over the past 20 years. Andrew has played a key role in SNCL as a co-designer, facilitator, trainer, coach and actor.

Paul Hargreaves

Paul is an engaging, energetic, and creative trainer, facilitator, coach, and actor. He has over 28 years’ experience in Learning and Development. He has worked in rail, social housing, insurance, charities, logistics and health, helping to develop both managers and leaders with training or coaching. He delivers Level 5 Apprenticeships including Operational Departmental Manager and Coaching Practice.

Paul has an outstanding track record in designing and delivering interactive, emotionally engaging and highly impactful behavioural change programmes. Paul has ILM Level 5 in Coaching and is an Associate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He is qualified in several psychometric tools including DiSC and TTi Success Insights. He has a Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming.

Sophie and Paul have worked together for over 20 years, on a wide range of highly successful assignments, including a number within the NHS. Paul has played a key role in SNCL as a co-designer, facilitator, trainer, coach and actor.

Glen Hill

Glen is an experienced actor, role player & facilitator of 20 years, supporting the delivery of experiential drama-based behavioural change, customer experience projects and assessment centre programmes for a variety of cross-sector clients. Trained as an actor at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama he has a successful track record of working across a number of industries nationally & internationally, including rail, financial and insurance services, utilities, healthcare, construction, and charity/not for profit organisations. He has delivered customer experience programmes, cultural change programmes and management development programmes within these sectors. Glen has been involved with the implementation, delivery & design of programmes in the areas of business improvement, strategic and cultural development, cultural mapping, people management skills and customer experience training. As an associate he has brought alive models, theories and concepts in practical ways and has a firm belief that anyone can learn to change their behaviour if they are emotionally committed to making the changes. 

Glen has worked with Sophie on numerous highly successful SNCL projects over the past 20 years, both as an actor and facilitator.

Rina Mahoney

Rina is a highly skilled educator with over thirty years of experience in the training room as a professional role player, facilitator and coach. She is passionate about utilising her skills and experience as a professional actress to benefit and develop others in the teaching arena. She understands the importance of offering contextualised, evidence-based feedback that is delivered constructively to enable the growth of those in the training environment.

Since 1991, Rina has been an associate with numerous leading drama-based learning and development training companies, in the UK and internationally, where she has provided role play, facilitation and more latterly 1:1 development coaching. She has a Level 5 Coaching Diploma from The University of Warwick. Rina has worked extensively as a coach and facilitator with the NHS, including the Leadership Academy and The University of Birmingham on their Referred Students Programme and their Referred Doctor Programme. This involves working with healthcare professionals at all levels, including Senior Consultants, exploring day-to-day issues arising from a need for improved communication skills. As a role player, she has been part of Advanced Communication Skills (Connected) courses for over eight years.

In addition, Rina coaches senior managers in a number of organisations including PWC, Deloitte, ARUP, IBM and the NHS.

Rina and Sophie have known each other many years and she has recently undertaken a number of fantastic assignments for SNCL.

Suzanne Tewkesbury

Suzanne is an Executive Coach, Organisational Development Practitioner and Human Resource Consultant, with over 35 years’ experience working in both public and private sector organisations. Suzanne has worked with people across all levels of management from executives to aspirant directors and senior managers.

Suzanne loves her work and has a special interest in standing up for inclusion and equality and addressing the barriers to achieving personal success. She believes every individual can achieve great things, and she is passionate helping individuals to be the best they can be and for demonstrating how each of us can add value.

Suzanne began her career in retail as a Human Resource professional. After 13 years, she moved to the NHS where she has spent the last 28 years. Over this time, she has undertaken a number of executive leadership roles, in human resource management and organisational development, corporate governance and operations. Having worked in diverse and complex organisations, Suzanne has built a reputation as someone who ‘gets things done’ and delivers on the challenging issues. Her core strengths include organisational design and change management, coaching, facilitation, continuous improvement, culture change, equality and inclusion, employee engagement, employee relations and building strong customer relationships. Suzanne left the NHS in 2023.

Suzanne and Sophie have worked together on several assignments over the past 10 years and Sophie is delighted that she has recently joined the SNCL Associate Team.

Gordon Gillies

Gordon has more than 25 years learning and development experience, working with individuals and teams enabling behaviour change.

Gordon’s motivational and influential style has been highly commended by his many clients. His main focus area is in executive coaching and leadership development. He has successfully delivered development solutions in both the private and public sectors, across a diverse range of industries including luxury hospitality, rail, utilities, call centres, banking and finance, media, advertising, communications and entertainment. Clients include RBS, HBOS, Virgin Management, Virgin Limited Edition, Sky and Ralph Lauren.

Gordon has a CIPD Certificate in Training and Development, a Diploma in Life Coaching and a Diploma in NLP. He is also qualified in a wide range of psychometric tools including MBTI, DiSC, TTi Insights and EQ Profiling.

Gordon and Sophie have worked together on a number of projects over the past 10 years. He has recently been supporting the delivery of a SNCL psychometric feedback project for the NHS in Northeast England.

Amanda Fisk

Amanda is a highly skilled and experienced coach. With over 30 years’ leadership experience gained in the NHS and wider public sector, Amanda runs her own coaching business with clients coming from the MOD, NHS, Local Authorities and private sector. As an ILM Level 7 qualified Coach and Mentor, Amanda enjoys coaching one to one with clinicians and managers at all levels of their career journey, helping clients to identify strengths and skills and to apply them to personal and organisational goals. Change and transition is a constant theme. Amanda often works with individuals on issues of confidence, self-esteem and resilience including those returning to the workplace after a period of absence and those experiencing workplace displacement, for example, through bullying and harassment or redundancy. Amanda’s interest in mental health and wellbeing is a theme of her holistic coaching approach.

Amanda and Sophie worked together for a number of years in the NHS and she has been a valued member of the SNCL coaching team for the past 5 years.

Nigel Davis

Nigel is a skilled and personable leader with 35 years’ experience as a practitioner leading and developing people. He is enthusiastic about development with a palpable energy and passion for improvement. Nigel has coached at Executive level and delivered and facilitated training on a wide range of topics including leadership and customer engagement. Nigel has enjoyed a successful career working for an International Banking Group, fulfilling several Senior Executive roles across Retail and Commercial Banking. He has international experience, working in the US, Hong Kong and Canada. He has driven change programmes in a wide range of organisations. Nigel has mentored and coached individuals both internally and externally, senior and peer colleagues. He has used his experience in facilitating Graduate Development & Customer Engagement programmes. He has engaged on external, cross corporate initiatives including coaching for the 30% Club (Marks & Spencer Executive) on Gender Development & Career Development of LGBT colleagues (Deloitte.) He has also worked with HM Treasury developing an SME qualification for business growth.

Nigel joined the SNCL associate team about 3 years ago and has been a valued member of the coaching team for the NHS in Northeast England.

Gilly Dowthwaite Wells

Gilly is an exceptional executive coach, psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer with over ten years’ experience. She is open and friendly with an infectious enthusiasm. Gilly has built an impressive track record coaching leaders, directors and high potential senior executives in a wide variety of sectors including health, engineering and energy. Gilly has the ILM Level 7 in Coaching and Mentoring and the Advanced Certificate in Executive Coaching. She designs and delivers bespoke training courses in stress management, mental health and personal resilience.

Gilly and Sophie first met when they were undertaking their ILM Level 7 training together. Gilly is a highly respected and valued member of the associate coaching and training team.

Andrew Butler

Andrew has been involved in personal development for the past 12 years as a role-player, facilitator and coach. He enjoys working with senior leaders to expand their proficiencies and develop leadership behaviours through the practical application of skills.

Andrew is emotionally astute, highly observant, and approaches his work with integrity, objectivity and kindness.

Through his background as an actor and theatre maker, Andrew has spent over 20 years exploring human motivations and behaviours. He finds incredible value in applying structured, rational thinking to emotionally important matters. He holds a first-class degree from Lancaster University, completed his actor training at LAMDA and holds the ILM level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and Mentoring.

Andrew has worked throughout the UK, Europe and MENA and across a broad range of industries. He regularly delivers to leading professional services firms, law firms, public sector, charitable sector, and educational organisations.

Andrew recently joined the SNCL Associate team as a coach, facilitator and actor.

Bea Devlin

Bea is a coach, mentor and facilitator with over 20 years’ experience. Her career spans the public, private and social enterprise/charity sectors, both in the UK and internationally, with particular emphasis on health, community development, the arts, finance and philanthropy. Collaborations with leaders, boards and senior teams have delivered excellent results for diverse organisations, from established multinationals and foundations to fledgling social enterprises. Focused on both results and process, Bea is driven by passion for the positive changes individuals, teams and organisations make through developing their insight, skills and confidence. She is regularly commended for her inclusive and pragmatic approach to supporting vision to reality.

Bea and Sophie first met and worked together on the transformation of mental health services in Northwest London. Since then, Bea has supported SNCL in a coaching and facilitation capacity. Her input to the delivery of the Northwest London ‘Compassionate and Inclusive Leader’ Programme is particularly notable.
